1. Please refer to Ms Major's minute of 18 March and Mr Fifoot's of 23 March. You will be receiving separately a copy of a teleletter I am sending to Hong Kong, as suggested in Paragraph 4 of Mr Fifoot's minute. I shall let you know the response from Hong Kong in due course. (Hong Kong have not commented on my minute of 12 January to Mr Fletcher-Cooke)
2. For the present, there is nothing more I can add to earlier exchanges on the Hong Kong aspects of this question.
