Canada, U.S.A., Australia, U.K., Netherlands, West Germany and New Zealand.
For Canada, figures are estimated by applying the proportion of professional, administrative and managerial workers found in the CNCC to the total number of successful visa applicants. Adjustments have been made to take into account the fact that CNCC are not required for minor dependents.
For the other countries, the occupational particulars are gathered from the voluntary return forms from the Consulates.
