STUDENT NUMBER TARGETS FOR 1991-94 TRIENNIUM

AND PLANNING PROJECTIONS TO YEAR 2000

A

THE PROBLEM

This memorandum responds to the Council's request of 30 August 1988 and examines the feasibility of permitting the Baptist College to adopt an earlier phased expansion than indicated in memorandum XCC (88) 119; and the financial implications of adopting the student number targets set out in that memorandum, particularly their likely effect on the overall public sector expenditure programme. A copy of the

earlier memorandum is at Annex A.
