VI. Adoption of summer time in Hong Kong

A question on summer time has been included in the
current survey to Assess people's opinion on whether they support the adoption of summer time in Hong Kong. The findings are as follows (also refer to Annex VI) :
(a) 45% of the respondents do Dot support the adoption of summer time in Hong Kong (27%
not support at all and 187 10% quite support), whilst 20% support the adoption of summer time (8% strongly support and 12% quite support). Another 19% Are neutral (neither support
support nor not support), and 16%
have no comment,
(b) The following groups of respondents have સ higher ratio of non-supporters to supporters than the average (2.25 to 1) :

the 15-19, 20-24 and 30-34 age
groups (all three have ratios of
2.7 to 1); and

administrative
and managerial
