Following representations
by Mr Allen Lee, the
Financial Secretary said that at this stage, the
Administration would not wish to separate totally
totally the
telecommunication issues from the question of cable
television. However, proposals on telecommunications
policy would be laid before the Council as soon as
possible.
(Sir S.Y. Chung as
Director of Hong Kong
Telecommunications Limited and the Financial Secretary as
Financial Secretary Incorporated declared interests.
They were invited to remain for the discussion.)
