13. The following Part is added after section 17 -
Licensees prohibited
from
holding certain
shares, etc.
"PART IIIA
SHAREHOLDING AND OTHER RESTRICTIONS AND RELATED MATTERS
17A. (1) A licensee shall not hold,
either directly or indirectly, shares in
any company which
(a) carries on any business or other
activity which, in the opinion of
the Broadcasting Authority, is not
directly connected with television
broadcasting; or
(b)
is a company less than 51 per cent
of the issued shares of which are
registered in, and only in, the
name of the licensee and where
management is under the control of
the licensee.
(2) A licensee shall not acquire an
interest in any other company unless the
acquisition has previously been approved by
the Broadcasting Authority.
