As the first daily newspaper to use satellite facsimile transmission world- wide, and the most popular Chinese newspaper in Europe and the U.K., we believe we have succeeded in helping our readers to understand the mechanism of British life and institutions while still retaining their own cultural identity.
Through the Sino-British Agreement and work of the Liaison Group, the Foreign Office has taken the centre stage in this historical transition period of Hong Kong, and your goodself in particular.
