An Ordinance to amend the Bankruptcy Ordinance.

Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent
of the Legislative Council thereof.
1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Bankruptcy (Amendment) Short title Ordinance 1988.

Section 99 of the Bankruptcy Ordinance is amended by adding General rules of procedure after subsection (2)—–
(Cap. 6)
"(3) Subject to rules made under section 113 limiting the power conferred by this subsection, the Registrar sitting in open court shall have power to hear and determine unopposed bankruptcy petitions and to make receiving orders thereon.".
