month after such application is made under subsection (5), serve notice on the applicant of his intention to object specifying the grounds of objection; and where such notice is served by the Commissioner of Police, he shall send a copy thereof to the Registrar.
(6B) Upon the expiration of a period of one month after any application under this section is made under subsection (5), the Registrar shall lodge the application with such magis- trate as he deems fit, together with a copy of any notice served on the applicant under subsection (6A)."; and
(d) by adding after subsection (9)
"(10) For the purposes of hearing an application under this section the licensing court may be constituted by-
(a) a magistrate sitting alone; or
(b) a magistrate sitting with 2 assessors,
except that, where a notice has been served on the applicant under subsection (6A), the licensing court shall be constituted by a magistrate sitting with 2 assessors.".
14.
Section 17(1) is amended—
(a)
by adding "(including any change of name by law)" after "any licensee";
(b) in paragraph (b) by repealing "body corporate" and substituting
"company"; and
(c) by adding after "the change takes place❞—
"and the Registrar may in respect of any such change enter such particulars, or alter any particulars entered, in the register as he thinks fit".
15. Section 18 is amended-
(a)
in subsection (2)(i) by repealing "the Second Schedule" and substi- tuting "Schedule 2"; and
(b) in subsection (3) by repealing all the words after and including
"declare" and substituting-
"order that such agreement or security is enforceable to such extent, and subject to such modifications or exceptions, as the court considers equitable.".
16. (1) Section 19(1) is amended—
(a) by repealing "$10" and substituting "the prescribed fee";
(b) by adding "(consisting of the original and a copy)" after "state-
ment";
(c) by repealing "and" at the end of paragraph (c);
(d) by adding "and" at the end of paragraph (d); and
