An Ordinance to amend the Dentists Registration Ordinance.
Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent
of the Legislative Council thereof.
1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Dentists Registration (Amend- Short title and ment) Ordinance 1988 and shall come into operation on a day to be commencement. appointed by the Governor by notice in the Gazette.
2.
Section 2(1) of the principal Ordinance is amended—
Amendment of section 2.
(a) in the definition of "Chairman" by inserting before the semicolon (Cap. 156.)
the following-
"and includes any person elected to act as Chairman under section 4(5C)";
(b) by deleting the definition of "Director".
3. Section 4 of the principal Ordinance is amended-
(a) in subsection (2)—
(i) by deleting paragraph (a) and substituting the following--
"(a) the Registrar;";
(ii) by deleting paragraph (b) and substituting the following-
"(b) a consultant dental surgeon of the Dental Service of the Medical and Health Department appointed by the Governor;";
