Finally, the meeting was also addressed by UNBRO (Vande Veld) who expressed his concern at what he saw as the increasing likelihood of Site 2 (South) being moved by the Thais to the old Nong Samet camp.
This camp
is right on the Thai/Cambodian border and is in an area heavily mined by all sides in the conflict. Not surprisingly the international agencies consider Nong Samet an unsuitable proposal. We expect more on this from the Donor Meeting
tomorrow.
