PRESIDENT REAGAN'S VISIT TO THE UK 2 SECRETARY OF STATE'S MEETING WITH MR
3 JUNE: BRIEFING FOR THE SHULTZ: 3 JUNE
The Secretary of State will meet Mr Shultz for a bilateral, probably at breakfast 0745 to 0900 on 3 June.

This meeting, (like the Prime Minister's with President Reagan on 2 June see my separate minute of today's date) will probably be dominated by summit issues. But there will be more scope for a

wider agenda. In addition to summit issues, burdensharing, Arab/Israel, the Gulf, Southern Africa, EC/US Trade, the UN and Northern Ireland are topics that immediately come to mind. There will obviously be others (we already have some bids).
We would be grateful if Departments would let us know (Mark Higson, 270 2663) if they wish to contribute to the briefing why, by Friday, 20 May.
