At lunchtime today there was a small demonstration outside the Embassy to protest at the repatriation of Vietnamese boat people. I saw the President of the SOS Boat People who handed over letters to the Ambassador and the Prime Minister and an almost identical leaflet
(attached) which I promised to pass on to London. I was warned that there might be further demonstrations and petitions.
