In the meantime, the detainees in one of the detention camps on the island Hei Ling Chau have been informed of their impending repatriation after screening and clearance of the passage back to Vietnam. Communication with the outside was completely cut off. Not even correspondence was allowed. In short the Queen's appointees spared no effort in making life so miserable for these refugees that some of them finally agreed to repatriation. Others protested by staging a hunger strike. The Queen's appointees at once called for the special riot squads, equipped with automatic rifles, machine guns, tear gas, grenades etc. And it would appear that some of the refugees were physically assaulted when they were forcibly separated from their families and removed to another prison. The rest of the story will no doubt unfold as the weeks go by, especially when concerned groups arrive from other parts of the world.
We must put it to the Queen of England that allowing such atrocities in this Crown colony will not only ruin HongKong's name as a civilised society, but leave a permanent stain on the honour of Britain as a civilised country. We therefore deliver our most urgent and earnest plea in this open letter to the Queen to bring an end to all these atrocities. The good name of Britain and HongKong people must not be spoiled by a bunch of arrogant and irresponsible bureaucrats and politicians. In the unfortunate situation that the Queen cannot disown them, we are still entitled to disown them, since by legal definition they have never obtained any mandate to represent Hong Kong people.
We await the Queen's urgent attention to this matter.
