contributing an article to the Daily Mail in order to counter the unhelpful line that newspaper has been taking this week. The Daily Mail have expressed interest in an article for Monday's paper.

/ 2. I submit a draft article seen by SEAD and HKD. It is 50 words
inside the Daily Mail's preferred limit. I could discuss the draft with the Secretary of State on the 'plane to Yannina, and then telephone his comments to the News Department Duty Officer,
Mr Whitehead. We shall monitor any further coverage in the weekend press (eg The Mail on Sunday) in case any new arguments emerge. There will be time to make any final amendments on Sunday morning.
