Io, we were not discussing that.
That is part of the
discussions taking place, really, between Defence Ministries in the
Alliance as a whole, so we did not touch on that.
We discussed the whole range of topics that are coming up for
Consideration between us in the next few months, the Hanover Summit of the European Community, the forthcoming visit by the Prime Minister to Spain and the agenda of today's meeting, but we did not
discuss that particular point at all.
JOHN DICKIE:
Secretary of State, when you return to Lunden, would you be
looking forward to better relations with Iran as a result of the
talks that have been taking place and do you see the prospect of
better relations affecting the position of the British hostages?
FOREIGN SECRETARY:
I think it is very very important to be clear about what we
are seeking to achieve here.
The talks that have been taking place this week have been
exclusively concerned to the question of mutual compensation for
damage to the missions and there are no wider implications of that

information about the whereabouts and circumstances of the hostages,
but always within the framework of our "no-deals policy on
