CHINDIT MEMORIAL APPEAL
The Chindits Old Comrades Association has been granted permission by the Westminster City Council to raise a memorial to the Chindit Forces who participated in the Burma campaigns during the 1939-1945 World War.
The illustration is an artist's impression of the completed work which will stand adjacent to the Ministry of Defence building which is shown in the background.
The statue of Lord Trenchard is seen to the right and in the distance is that of Gordon of Khartoum.
