(AMENDMENT)
Amendment of section 6.
4.
Section 6 of the principal Ordinance is amended—
Amendment of section 13.
(a) by deleting subsection (1) and substituting the following-
"(1) An elected Member shall be treated as having accepted office as such Member unless he gives notice in writing to the Governor of his non-acceptance of office as such Member within 7 days after the date on which his election is published in accordance with regulations made under section 28."; and
(b) in subsection (2), by deleting "fails to give" and substituting the
following--

"gives".
Section 13(3) of the principal Ordinance is amended by deleting "1985" and substituting the following-
“1988".
Amendment of section 20.
6.
Section 20(1)(b)(ii)(A) of the principal Ordinance is amended by deleting "1985" and substituting the following—
"1988".

7. Regulation 5(1)(a)(v) of the Legislative Council (Electoral Provi- sions) (Registration of Electors and Appointment of Authorized Repre- sentatives) Regulations is amended by deleting "1985" wherever it appears and substituting the following-

“1988".
Regulation 6(2) of the Post Office Regulations is amended-
(a) in sub-paragraph (a), by inserting before "Electoral" the
following-
(Cap. 381, sub. leg.)
"Legislative Council (Electoral Provisions) (Procedure) Regulations or the"; and
(b) in sub-paragraph (b), by inserting before "Electoral" the
following-
(Cap. 381.)
"Legislative Council (Electoral Provisions) Ordinance or the".
