Amend the Trade Unions Ordinance.
Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof.
1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Trade Unions (Amendment) Ordinance 1988.

Section 2 of the Trade Unions Ordinance is amended—
(a) by adding after the definition of “branch”.
"electoral fund" means a fund established under section
33A;"; and
(b) in the definition of "funds" by repealing "allocated to a" and
substituting "in an electoral or".
3. Sections 16(c), 20(1), 28(1), 33(1)(h) and (j), 34, 45(1) and 48(3) are amended by repealing "the Colony" and substituting "Hong Kong".
4. Section 33(1) is amended by repealing "welfare fund" and substi- tuting "welfare and electoral funds".

"Electoral fund
33A. (1) If authorized by secret ballot of a majority of its voting members, a registered trade union may establish an electoral fund out of which may be paid--
