The Daya Bay nuclear power station is a 75%/25% joint venture

project between the Guangdong Nuclear Investment Company and

the Hong Kong Nuclear Investment Company. The nuclear steam

supply system for the power station will be supplied by Framatome of France while the turbines and generators will be

supplied by General Electric Company of the United Kingdom. In addition, the General Electric Company, in a consortium with the Shangdong Electric Power Company, have received

letters of intent for the civil works contracts associated

with the conventional island.
