The object of this Ordinance is to amend the Stamp Duty Ordinance to introduce a more graduated scale of rates of stamp duty payable on conveyances on sale so as to reduce the duty payable in respect of properties costing between $250,000 and $1.5 million.
Before the Governor assented to the Bill in the name and on behalf of Her Majesty, the Attorney General advised that he could properly do so.
