This Ordinance amends the Companies Ordinance so to allow the Registrar, Supreme Court to hear in open court unopposed petitions for the winding-up of a company. The purpose of the amendment is to reduce the time spent by the Companies Judge in hearing such petitions.

Before the Governor assented to the Bill in the name and on behalf of Her Majesty, the Attorney General advised that he could properly do so.
