The Legislative Council sits every Wednesday (except 13th June). The final session is on 20th July,
Our sponsoring member does not expect to be away from Hong Kong in June. He will, however, be away in July although he expects to be in Hong Kong on 13th July.
Normally, notice of a Bill must be given 20 days before the first meeting. (This timetable allows 16 days only but this could be extended to 18 days if notice could be given on Saturday, 4th June).
Normally, a Bill is read before two sessions of the Legislative Council a fortnight apart.
It is not possible to place entries in the Hong Kong Gazette later than 4 p.II.
on the Monday before the Friday of intended publication. Accordingly the appointed day/completion cannot be earlier than 22nd July on this timetable.
