Closure of Hong Kong Stock Exchange
Following the events of last October we prepared
a report on the effect on Hong Kong's image overseas of the 4-day stock exchange closure. The report is for information only, and has been circulated on a very restricted basis within HKG.
The Governor thought a copy should also be passed to HKD, FCO and one is herewith enclosed. London Office asked that the identity of its City contacts be
protected.
Accordingly Annex I of C(L)'s report is not
included.
