Declaration
Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof.
1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Hong Kong Baptist College (Amendment) Ordinance 1988.
2.
Section 7 of the Hong Kong Baptist College Ordinance is amended by repealing paragraph (0) and substituting—
"(o) confer degrees and academic awards including honorary degrees
and honorary awards.".
3.
Section 23(1)(d) is amended by adding "conferring of degrees and" before "academic".
4. Section 30 is amended by repealing paragraph (f) and sub- stituting-
"(ƒ) the conferring of degrees and academic awards including honorary
degrees and honorary awards;".
5. It is declared that the expressions "academic awards" and "honorary awards" in the principal Ordinance prior to its amendment by this Ordinance shall be deemed to have always included degrees and honorary degrees.
