We have had many conversations over recent weeks' about the administrative workload involved in running the leviathan that the JLG has become. I have also mentioned more than once that in between doing things that have a higher priority (which seems, with hindsight, to have meant everything else!) I have been trying to put down in writing what, in practice, the split in workload between GDB and your office would be.

The attached paper is an attempt to describe that division of labour. I think that we have already come to an understanding at one time or another on all the points included in it. Your role in paper production will be to carry out, of course, once you have word processors (which, I hope, are to be compatible with those if Ses Dep't have in GD Branch). No doubt you will soon let me know if my
paper is over generous in allocating work to your side!
