In my recent talks in Malaysia and Singapore, there was a general feeling that the prospects for Vietnamese withdrawal from Cambodia are better than ever before. This was also the message my rt hon friend the Prime Minister received from Prince Sihanouk in London recently. The UK was one of the first countries to call for Vietnamese withdrawal and we consult closely with EC partners and others on the issue. It will be important to secure a political settlement that ensures a representative Government.
