Some people have attempted to draw a comparison between Tibet and Hong Kong. There is absolutely no parallel between them. Joint Declaration on the Hong Kong SAR is the subject of an
agreement between two sovereign states, which is an international treaty binding between the two parties and registered at the United
Nations. This is not the case with Tibet.
