LAND COMMISSION
Pleased to report that Land Commission has continued to work
well in last year.
Agreement was reached on need to extend leases in New
Territories by means of legislation.

Bill is currently before Legislative Council and is expected to be passed during current session.
Land Commission again acted flexibly last year to allow
disposal of land for financial year 1987-88 in excess of annual limit of 50 hectares which is specified in Joint Declaration.
