May I thank you very warmly for taking the time and
trouble to receive me at MTL earlier this week. You do
run an extremely impressive operation: in its own way, the unceasing activity and startling growth rates of MTL symbolise everything that has been most successful in Hong Kong in
recent years.
From that point of view I found the visit most
helpful and illuminating.
Could you also pass on my thanks to Mr Pirie for the splendid tie and cuff-links, which will serve as a reminder of a most impressive experience,
