LORD GLENARTHUR'S TRAVEL: HONG KONG, CHINA, MONGOLIA

Lord Glenarthur was grateful for the thoughtful advice in your submission of 7 March about his travel to Hong Kong, China and Mongolia. He agrees that it would be better to defer planning for a visit to Mongolia until a Mongolian Minister has visited London. He is now considering the options you suggested for the best use of the time he will spend in China.

I should add that Lord Glenarthur is most grateful for the work the department undertook on the logistics of travel to and from Ulan Bator. He hopes that it can be put to good use before too long
