Among important local issues to be discussed by the
Joint Liaison and Land Groups are proposals for an
international airport, to be built either on Chinese territory nearby or on land to be reclaimed adjacent to
Macau. The first discussions of the Sino-Portuguese Land
Group took place at the end of February.
