The main purpose of this Ordinance is to amend the Heung Yee Kuk Ordinance to expand the membership of the Council and the Executive Committee of the Heung Yee Kuk. Amendments are also made with regard to non- voting Permanent Advisers, nomination procedures and quorums.
2. Before the Governor assented to the Bill in the name and on behalf of Her Majesty, the Attorney General advised that he could properly do so.
