Will Government inform this Council what is the minimum and maximum waiting time for patients referred by general medical practitioners to obtain consultation at Government specialist clinics, broken down by specialties, and whether or not it intends to improve the level of provision of specialist service in Government hospitals and clinics ?

The minimum and maximum waiting time for
consultation at Government specialist clinics varies
between different specialties. With regard to surgery,

the waiting time ranges from to 78 days, for paediatrics

two from 2 to 164 days, for medicine from 2 to 167 days,

for orthopaedics and traumatology from (9) to 100 days,

for neurosurgery from 7 to 12 days, for gynaecology from five
5 to 89 days, for obstetrics from 8 to 97 days,
