Department have all stepped up inspection of
food premises and control of unlicensed food
hawkers. The Municipal Services Branch has also
expanded its health education programme
covering food and environmental hygiene.

A special interdepartmental committee has been
set up to monitor the situation and to
co-ordinate the control measures. This consists
of representatives from the Municipal Services

Branch and the Medical & Health Department.
