HONG KONG: LETTER FROM MR MICHAEL YAHUDA TO THE PRIME MINISTER
Problem
1. Mr Yahuda has written again to the Prime Minister about
representative government in Hong Kong.
Recommendation
2. I submit a draft reply on standard lines. I recommend that the
covering Private Secretary's letter suggests that any future
correspondence with Mr Yahuda be dealt with by an FCO Minister.
Background
3. Copies of Mr Yahuda's letter of 15 January, your letter of 2
February to Mr Powell, and the Prime Minister's letter of 4 February
to Mr Yahuda are attached.
