Method of application

As this scheme is designed to help develop China's work- force it is important that nominations are supported by the applicant's head of department and are always submitted to the State Education Commission in Beijing. Similarly, Chinese students already studying overseas must submit their applications to the State Education Commission. In such cases it would be appropriate for the scho- lar's head of department to endorse the applicant's nomination before it is forwarded to the State Education Commission.

The address of the State Education Commission is:

37 Damucang Hutong Beijing

People's Republic of China

Only Chinese nationals should apply.
