Thank you for your facsimile of the 23 February concerning amendments to the Letters Patent and the Royal Instructions.
You will wish to see comments on your draft by the Law Draftsman. There is reference in this to our draft of the saving provision in Clause 1(4) of the Additional Instructions. Our draft read as follows
"1(4).
Nothing in these Instructions
shall affect the appointment of a member of the Executive Council who was a member thereof immediately before the commencement of these Instructions, and any such appointment shall continue to have effect according
to the terms of the Instrument by which the member was appointed.
