The Secretary of State spoke to Princess Margaret last
He underlined week about China, at one of the Saudi banquets. the need for her to be fully prepared to respond to points

The background to this is that the Secretary of State has concluded from various recent Royal Visits that careful thought is needed about what points we want to put across
He hopes that to those whom the visiting Royal will meet. you will consider this with Protocol Department and our Posts. The Secretary of State has in mind not elaborate briefing, of the kind already provided as background on the country concerned, but short well-focussed points to make on particular subjects, which can easily be committed to memory.
