INDEPENDENT COMMISSION AGAINST CORRUPTION (AMENDMENT) BILL 1987
THE PRO BLEM
The Independent Commission Against Corruption regularly reviews the two principal Ordinances under which it operates and from time to time, with the approval of the Attorney General, proposes general amendments with a view to ensuring the continuing effectiveness of the legislation. Members last approved the introduction of such general amendments in 1976 and 1980. Experience since then has shown the need for further refinements.
RECOMMENDATION AND ADVICE SOUGHT

It is recommended that the Prevention of Bribery (Amendment) Bill 1987 and the Independent Commission Against A & B Corruption (Amendment) Bill 1987, at Annex A and Annex B
respectively, should be introduced into the Legislative Council.

Members will be asked to advise whether this recommendation should be approved.
