It has now been confirmed by our Legal Advisers that neither
They the 1929 Convention nor the 1935 Act apply to Hong Kong. have also confirmed that the 1960 Declaration extended the 1929 Convention, but not the 1935 Act, to most Dependent Territories but not to Hong Kong.
Since it is not clear whether the Hong Kong Bill will be a Reserved Bill within Article XXVI of the Royal Instructions, our Legal Advisers would very much appreciate being allowed to see a copy in advance.
