Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof.

This Ordinance may be cited as the Antibiotics (Amendment) Ordinance
Section 10 of the principal Ordinance is amended—
(a) by deleting subsection (1) and substituting the following—
"(1) Any person who contravenes section 4 or 5 commits an offence and is liable to a fine of $10,000 and to imprisonment for 12 months."; and
(b) by inserting after subsection (2) the following-
(3) Notwithstanding any provision in any Ordinance prescribing the period within which summary proceedings may be commenced. proceedings for an offence under this Ordinance may be commenced at any time within the period of 12 months next after the date of the commission of the offence:
Provided that this subsection shall not apply to an offence under section 9.".
