Explanatory Memorandum
This Bill amends the Powers of Attorney Ordinance to remove doubt as to the validity of a statutory declaration made for the purposes of section 5(4) by a purchaser who deals with the donee of a power of attorney and to provide that no such statutory declaration made after the commence- ment of this Bill shall be sufficient if taken and received by a solicitor acting for the donee or any person involved in the transaction to which the statutory declaration relates or by a partner, clerk or employee of that solicitor or his partner.
