A BILL

Amend the Buildings Ordinance.
Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent
of the Legislative Council thereof.
1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Buildings (Amendment) Short title. Ordinance 1987.
2. Section 2(1) of the principal Ordinance is amended, in the defini- Amendment of tion of "authorized person", in paragraph (b) by deleting ", municipal”.
3. Section 3 of the principal Ordinance is amended-
(a) in subsection (2)(b) by deleting ", municipal";
(b) in subsection (5)—
(i) in paragraph (b)—
(A) in sub-paragraph (ii) by inserting after "Office" the
following
", who shall, in the absence of the Principal Govern- ment Building Surveyor, act as chairman";
(B) in sub-paragraph (vii) by deleting "the Technical Secre-
tary," and substituting the following-
"a technical secretary of the";
(ii) in paragraph (d)—
(A) by deleting "6" and substituting the following-
section 2.
