GRANT OF A LICENCE UNDER THE TELECOMMINICATION ORDINANCE (CHAPTER 106)
FOR A BBC FAR EASTERN RELAY STATION IN HONG KONG
A
Introduction
On 23rd July 1985, after considering memorandum XCC (85) 97 (Annex A), the Council advised and the Governor ordered, inter alia :

be
that the proposal to grant a licence for a BBC Far Eastern Relay Station should resubmitted together with the following information :
(i) confirmation
that
land the
grant
contains a resumption clause;
(ii) a map of the locality of the proposed
relay station;
that the proposed licence
should restrict
any possible future transfer by the BBC of its shareholding in the BBC East Asia Relay Company Limited;
should
be given
to
an
that consideration annual review by the Governor in Council of the
provided in Condition 1 of the proposed licence; and
fee
that the licence should, when the proposal is resubmitted as noted in paragraph (a), be approved in principle, to be resubmitted for to the licence, granting. when the schedule setting out the technical specifications, has been completed.
