trust that each and every member of this Council will vote
according to his or her conscience.
The LegCo Ad Hoc Group on this Bill has had
number
of meetings with various concerned parties as well as the
Administration. The last discussion by the Ad Нос Group on
this Bill was on 10th February 1987 when it had its last
meeting with the Administration.
Legislative Council discussed this Bill in its in-house
meetings on 13th and 27th February 1987.

The Administration released its proposed amendments.
to this Bill last Thursday, 5th March 1987. Since then a
number of concerned groups made further
representations to the
LegCo Ad Нос Group including in particular, the Hong Kong
Journalists Association, the News Executives Association, the
Newspaper Society and the Foreign Correspondents' Club.
