decision, to the person who submitted the film. Clause

13(3) and (4) provides for the procedure to be followed in

the case of a film requiring excision because of a matter

referred to in clause 10(2), or because the censor is

otherwise unable to give the film an appropriate

classification under clause 12(1). The procedure is that,

after the film is excised, it is approved for exhibition,

given a classification under clause 12(1) and issued a

certificate of approval.

13. Clauses 14 and 15 provide for the retention by

the Authority of pieces of film excised under the Bill,

for excision of copies of films.

14. Clauses 16, 17 and 18 sets out the manner in

which advertising material which relates to a film is to be

dealt with under the Bill. All advertising material is

required to be submitted to the Authority (clause 16(1)).

After such submission, the advertising material

(a) may be published or displayed without first being

dealt with under clause 17 or 18 if the person

submitting the advertising material so requests

with under clause 18 if the Authority is of the

opinion that the advertising material is of a

class or description of advertising material

prescribed as suitable for such exemption; or

may be approved for publication and display under

clause 18, or be refused such approval under that
