The Problem
On 28 July 1987, having considered the memorandum XCC(87)108 at Annex A, the Council advised and the Acting Governor ordered that the proposed Control of Obscene and Indecent Articles Regulations 1987 should be resubmitted to the Council with further proposals for prescribed fees and a more precise definition of the circumstances in which fees may be waived.

Recommendation and Advice Sought

It is recommended that under Section 46 of the Control of Obscene and Indecent Articles Ordinance (Ordinance 9/87) the revised Control of Obscene and Indecent Articles Regulations 1987 at Annex B should be made.

Members will be asked to advise whether this recommendation should be approved.
