This is a cartoon made in 1959 about a fisherman in difficulties with foreigners. The film attacks the foreign powers and the Catholic Church in China before the Revolution. The Fisherman symbolizes the oppressed people in China, and the message is that the Communist Party has successfuly got rid of the foreign powers.

The film depicts a man pretending to be the son of a powerful cadre. He goes to Shanghai and everybody thinks that he is for real. At the end, he is caught as an impostor and put in prison where he commits suicide.
