Mr. Desmond Lee referred to the case two years ago where the Attorney General sent a warning letter to a newspaper concerning
a report in which they said that packets of soft drinks had been
poisoned. Mr. Lee said that subsequently a man was arrested and convicted in correction with the matter, so that the original report
was not untrue after all.
I think Mr. Lee must be confusing two different ouses here.
It is certainly true that there has been a case recently in which
paokata packets of soft drinks were found poisoned. The incident two years
ago, however, when a waming letter was sent to a newspaper, was an
entirely separate netter, The report in question there was undoubtedly
